The origin of the Bolga basket is from Ghana's north region. Basket weaving became a means to supplement income for the livelihood of the people of Bolgatanga.The handles in goat skin are a signature detail for these baskets. The approx. time to weave and dye and prepare these baskets is approximately 4 to 5 days. Truly a gift from the earth.
